Nestled into the north coast of the island, Port Askaig has been the gateway to Islay for hundreds of years. While there is no distillery at Port Askaig, Port Askaig specially select casks from the distilleries around Islay and create a variety of expressions.

Distilled in 2004 and aged in 11 full bourbon barrels, this limited-edition Port Askaig 14 Year Old perfectly blends intense smoke and sweet spices. The distillery, located in northeast Islay, is renowned for its non-peaty version, making this a rare peaty-smoked vintage.

Nose: Stewed fruits and barbecue coal with sea spray and coastal rocks. Sweet smoke dissipates as core flavours of fresh citrus and salted caramel come to the fore, combining classic Islay flavours with refreshing fruity notes
Palate: Burnt honeycomb and baked raisins infused with five-spice and peat smoke. Candied fruits and sherbet lemon build as an underlying earthy peat brings together a superbly rich and juicy mouthfeel, with crwme brulee notes and a delicious peat-infused caramel layer
Finish: Long and heavy with maple-cured bacon and liqueur-soaked sultanas.
