Keep Your Gin Up! Gins and Mixers You’ll Love

Gin, an aromatic and easy-to-drink liqueur, is a popular choice for lovers of mixed drinks. With juniper at its heart and a combination of spicy, floral and woody notes, gin can be flavoured with other fruits and botanicals to create unique drinks and cocktails. Later, people added gin, sugar and lime to the tonic and created the world’s first Gin and Tonic.

Here are a few of crowd-favourite gins you should know about:

Kyoya Shuzo Hinata Gin
This Japanese gin has aromas of juniper, herbs and a touch of citrus. A warm mouthfeel with refreshing flavours of chamomile and sweet spice like cardamom.

Gin Mare
Hailing from Spain, this gin is crafted with raw ingredients gathered from various Mediterranean regions for distillation, including Italian basil, Turkish thyme and Greek rosemary. It has a strong base of botanicals with aromas of cardamom, green apple, rosemary and thyme, and a refreshing finish of citrus.

Ägräs Abloom Gin
This gin from Finland has been added with honey and hibiscus flowers during distillation, and has a rich floral aroma. On the palate is a balanced combination of juniper berry, wild angelica and hibiscus flowers and the extended finish is crispy with aromas of honey and citrus.

Recommended pairing: Q Mixers Spectacular Tonic Water
It has sharp flavour and high carbonation, and is not so sweet to let the subtleties of a great gin shine through.

* During the Wine & Spirit Fair, Harbour City, New Town Plaza and Times Square stores will be decorated with a beautiful, garden-like Gin Corner. Don’t forget to bring home your favourite gin, take a snap and share with your friends and family!
