Fennel seeds are harvested form the plant’s flowers and then dried. This pale green coloured spice has an oval shape, sweet, anise-like flavour, very similar to liquorice, and mostly used for adding a warm fragrance to dishes. Its warm and aromatic flavour is ideal for sweet and savoury recipes, especially goes well with seafood and pork.
