Hokkaido Whey Pork is one of the best-known brands from Tokachi District, Japan. The pigs’ feed is supplemented with at least 135 litres of whey 80 days after birth. Rich in lactic acid bacteria and lactose, whey is highly nutritious and can aid the growth of the pigs in a natural and healthy way. Thanks to the pigs being raised in a natural, stress-free environment and with natural wetland-filtered water, the pork has a mild aroma and sweetness, and is low in fat and high in protein.
