• Japanese Nagoya Cochin Chicken is one of Japan's three famous chicken. “Cochin chicken” is Nagoya chicken, has a history of over a hundred years.
• It was endangered due to impact of imported chicken from foreign countries. Fortunately, it was finally preserved under the efforts of the local chicken farmers in the 1880s and it has become the town’s signature variety.
