Chakana Ayni is crafted by Alberto Antonini (former Head Winemaker at the legendary Antinori estate) and Pedro Parra (Chile’s iconic terroir expert). spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts. 12 months in untoasted 5000 liter barrels, and new or used 500 liter casks. Ayni Vineyard is located south of Paraje Altamira in the Uco Valley, at an altitude of 1100 meters. The soil is sandy loam with a gravel layer covered in calcium carbonate, ranging from 30 to 70 centimeters deep. |
