HONG KONG WHISKY Tiles Series Glen Elgin 2010 16 YO (700mL)

ABV: 53.6%
Region: Speyside,Scotland
Distillery: Glen Elgin
Cask Type Maturation: Hogshead

The Tiles Series draws inspiration from the floor tiles of Hong Kong’s Tong Lau – the Cantonese name for old HK residential buildings. It captures a quiet emblem of craftsmanship and memory in this city. This range reflects our philosophy as independent bottler – selecting casks for character, understated restraint and long-term appeal.

Nose: Citrus peel with a crisp uplifting character, plus a touch of vanilla sweetness
Palate: Creamy and sweet, with vanilla at the core, layered with yellow peach, gooseberry, lemon mousse, alongside a hint of raw nuts
Finish: The nutty-sweet transition is so evocative that it makes me want to pour this whisky over a lemon chiffon cake and enjoy the pairing together
