Raised in Hokkaido’s distinctive natural surroundings, Hokkaido Whey Pork reflects a closely managed approach from breeding through fattening. Whey is incorporated into the pigs’ feeding programme, with each pig receiving 135 litres during the rearing period. This carefully controlled method enhances the pork’s flavour and gives it the gentle sweetness for which the range is known, distinguishing it from conventional pork through both provenance and production.

Grown in Hokkaido, where has the excellent natural environment, that’s why this pork is tender, sweet and flavourful, very suitable for making sukiyaki: cooked with scallions, tofu, shiitake mushrooms and other ingredients in a sauce which mixed with soy sauce, sugar, mirin, etc., then enjoy after dipping into beaten egg, yummy!
