Octomore 16.3 represents the pinnacle of terroir-driven whisky, distilled from 100% Concerto barley grown in Church Field at Octomore Farm on Islay and malted to an extraordinary 189.5 PPM.
Aged 5 years in a combination of bourbon, Sauternes, and Pedro Ximénez casks at 61.6% ABV, this "quiet giant" balances intense peat with honeyed malt, orchard fruits, and coastal salinity.
Bruichladdich Known as the "Progressive Hebridean Distillers" Bruichladdich is fiercely independent, non-conformist, and rooted in terroir. Every drop is distilled, matured, and bottled on Islay using 100% Scottish barley, giving its whisky a signature salt-citrus tang.
Colour: Winter Sand
Nose: Soft notes of barley sugar and freshly baked bread are brightened with hints of lemon zest and green apple peel, underpinned by delicate florals.
Palate: A symphony of honeyed malt, toasted grain and a distinctive earthiness greet the palate.
Finish: A medium-length finish of sweet barley, accompanied by subtle floral notes, which give way to the gentle smokiness of a beach bonfire. Citrus and a touch of minerality linger on.
