Grape Varietals: Pinot Noir
Region: Oregon, USA
Ratings: Wine Spectator 94 points, James Suckling 93 points
James Suckling: Aromas rich in savory, woodsy and spicy notes lead to vibrant black cherries, grilled plums, mushrooms, star anise and a touch of black pepper. Distinctive for a broad Willamette Valley bottling, this is lively and medium-bodied.
Résonance Wines is Maison Louis Jadot’s first winery in the New World. Founded in Beaune in 1859, Maison Louis Jadot is one of Burgundy’s defining négociant houses. Head winemaker Frédéric Barnier focuses on a low-intervention approach designed to express individual sub-regional terroirs cleanly and accurately across their portfolio.
Wine maker Guillaume Large was born in 1982 in Burgundy’s Pouilly-Fuissé appellation, worked in the family vineyard planted by his great-grandfather and earned an Oenologist’s National Diploma at the Jules Guyot Institute of Dijon.
Hand-harvested from top sustainable vineyards across Willamette Valley, the grapes are fermented with indigenous yeasts. The wine ages for 12 to 15 months in French oak barrels (about 20–25% new oak), achieving an expressive, fruit-forward style framed by French winemaking precision.
Sourced from a harmonious blend of estate vineyards (Résonance, Découverte) and select partner growers across Willamette Valley. The combination of volcanic Jory soils and marine sedimentary soils produces a highly balanced Pinot Noir reflecting the cooler, dry 2022 growing season.
Bright garnet. Fragrant aromas of red cherries, wild strawberries, blue flowers, and a hint of cedar spice. Medium-bodied and supple on the palate, featuring crunchy fruit flavors, well-integrated tannins, and a fresh, harmonious finish.
