LOUIS JADOT Beaune Premier Cru Celebration 2018 (750mL)

Wine Advocate : "Opening in the glass with aromas of sweet berries, cherries and plums framed by a deft application of toasty new oak, it is medium to full-bodied, deep and layered, with a fleshy core of fruit structured around rich tannins and succulent acids. It's a hearty, generous wine that should evolve nicely in the cellar. "

Founded in Beaune in 1859, Maison Louis Jadot is one of Burgundy’s defining négociant houses. Head winemaker Frédéric Barnier focuses on a low-intervention approach designed to express individual sub-regional terroirs cleanly and accurately across their portfolio.

A special anniversary blend created to celebrate Maison Louis Jadot’s 160th anniversary. Grapes from exceptional Beaune Premier Cru plots were fermented in open vats and aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, capturing the grand diversity and harmony of Beaune terroir in a warm, generous vintage.

This unique cuvée combines fruit from up to 19 prestigious Jadot-owned Beaune Premier Crus (including Clos des Ursules, Bressandes, Greves, and Coucherias). The complex soil makeup ranges from iron-rich clay to fine gravelly limestone, creating an extraordinarily balanced profile.

Deep garnet-red. Complex and layered on the nose, releasing rich aromas of dark cherries, ripe plum jam, baking spices, forest floor, and dark chocolate. Full-bodied, seamless, and opulent on the palate, supported by velvety tannins and a plush, comforting finish.
