Rizzi farms roughly 40 hectares across six celebrated crus in the Barbaresco zone, making it one of the largest, most interesting and most important estates in Barbaresco.

The grapes undergo maceration on the skins in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature for 21-28 days. Malolactic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by 12 months of ageing in large Slavonian oak barrels, then into concrete vats for 6 months.

From Barbaresco Cru "Nervo" vineyard, located in Treiso.  18 and 55 years old vines.  Composed of white marl clayey-calareous soil, alternated by sand.  Full South exposure.The perfect microclimatic conditions and the poor soil give the wine density and exemplary finesse. 

The taste is earthy and mineral, with notes of raspberry, cinnamon, and fresh mint. The finish is characterized by linear and dense tannins.
