TAMARUYA is an expertise shop in Shizuoka City known for wasabi preservatives since 1889. It applies Shizuoka-grown wasabi stem roots and grain them into wasabi paste. These wasabi paste are further used as preservatives for all sorts of meat and vegetables. Tamaruya is well-known for their barrel-filled wasabi pickled food, and gained nationwide popularity since postwar Japan.
