Product Features

  1. Hakki Farm is located in the northern part of Wakayama Prefecture, south of the Izumi Mountains. The soil is suitable for peach cultivation, nurtured by the Kino River, whose source of water is Odaigahara, one of the wettest areas in Japan. Our “Arakawa Peaches" are cultivated in the peach-growing tradition that has continued since the Edo period. We use the latest technology, "Embankment type root zone control cultivation. This is a technique in which a root barrier sheet is laid on the ground and medium is heaped on top of it to nurture the trees. This technique allows us to control the amount of irrigation and soil nutrients, which leads to improved sugar content. By making the trees smaller, typhoon damage can be reduced.
