Crafted by the oldest continuously family-owned and operated winery in the United States, an iconic winery in the Livermore Valley. They were pioneers in introducing Chardonnay grapes to America, and now some of the top wineries in the US use their Wente Clone Chardonnay. Their wines are a regular feature on the White House state dinner wine list and consistently receive high scores of 90 points or more from various wine critics.

Arroyo Seco is the ideal region to grow this Burgundian varietal because of the long, cool growing season, which allows the grapes to ripen fully and develop fruit flavors. The gravelly loam with shale soils, rich and limestone impart and deposits, desirable earthy mineral qualities to the wine. We farm eight clones of Pinot Noir (Pommard, Martini, 114, 115, 667, 777, 828, and 77), with each offering different flavors, textures, and aromatics.
