city’super’s Meat Team is committed to providing Hong Kong with premium meat. There are nearly 200 types of meat at the Japanese Meat Fair, including Yamagata Otome Ushi, Matsusaka Beef, Hokkaido Whey Pork and Nagoya Cochin Chicken.
As part of the fair, almost 50 dishes made with Japanese meat are available at AMAZING FOOD HALL, FusionDeli, Little Mermaid, iza’bis by city’super and MIKURA by city’super, including exquisite dining, premium lunchboxes and savouries. Enjoy delicious Japanese meat all day long.
Japan A5 Grade Yamagata Beef Direct from Farm
First up at the city’super Japanese Meat Fair is, of course, our long-time signature product. city’super purchases whole black wagyu Otome Ushi, or heifers, that are over 30 months old from Yamagata Prefecture. This type of cattle is very rare and precious, and makes what is considered the best Yamagata beef on the market. Through long-term fattening, the melting point of the fat of Otome Ushi can be as low as 14.7℃, which is much lower than that of normal wagyu, at 25.9℃. The low-fat-melting point guarantees a melt-in-the-mouth experience.
Combine the finely textured Japan Yamagata Chilled A5 Grade Wagyu Beef Striploin with fluffy Japanese rice and tasty sauces for a simple yet highly satisfying and umami-packed meal.

Seiyufoods Garlic Soy Sauce BBQ Sauce
Garlic is added to the soy sauce base for aroma and sweetness that will stimulate your appetite. Apart from being a great yakiniku sauce, it is also excellent with fried rice, cold tofu, fried eggplant or pasta.
Seiyufoods Garlic Ponzu Citrus Vinegar BBQ Sauce
A citrus vinegar sauce specially made for meat. With the sweetness of onion and the rich flavour of black garlic, it can neutralise the greasiness of meat, and can be used as a marinade or for burgers or steaks, or with stir-fries.
Award-winning A5 Grade Matsusaka Beef
A specialist in raising Matsusaka Ushi, Ito Farm has over 60 years of experience of doing so. Pure-bred black wagyu heifers are carefully fattened for close to 40 months to achieve a well-distributed and extremely refined marbling and a melt-in-the-mouth texture. When wagyu reaches 35 months old, the saturated fatty acids contained in the meat will convert to unsaturated fatty acids, well known for their health benefits, and get a silky texture. Ito Farm has been awarded for three consecutive years with the Grand Champion Cattle Prize in the prestigious annual Matsusaka Beef Carcass Contest, demonstrating the farm’s expertise and craftsmanship in raising exceptional cattle.
If you want to savour the original taste of Matsusaka beef, we recommend pan-frying the wagyu in its own fat, then adding a drop of a soy sauce specially created for beef to take the aroma and umami of the meat to the next level.
Must-have Condiment: Kanzaki Gyusho Fermented Aged Beef Soy Sauce
Made with Japanese wagyu beef and koji; the umami of the beef is even more intense after fermentation. Just a few drops can enhance the flavour and depth of a dish.
Sweet and Tasty Whey Pork Directly from Hokkaido Farm
Hokkaido Whey Pork is one of the best-known brands from Tokachi District, Japan. The breeding and raising process is strictly monitored, and the pigs are then flown directly to Hong Kong. They are raised in a natural, stress-free environment and their feed is supplemented with whey 80 days after birth. The pork has a mild aroma and a sweetness, and is low in fat and high in protein.

Must-have Condiment: Sorachi Sauce for Tokachi Style Pork Rice
A delicious sauce that can be used for simple cooking of the local “pork bowl” dish in the Doto, Tokachi and Obihiro regions of Hokkaido. With a base of soy sauce and sugar and without diluting it with water, the sauce is fragrant and sweet.
Firm and Chewy Nagoya Cochin Chicken
One of Japan's most famous chicken breeds, the Nagoya Cochin Chicken is a native breed with a century of history, and was once endangered due to impact of imported chicken. Fortunately, it was preserved thanks to the efforts of local chicken farmers in the 1880s and became the town’s signature breed. city’super’s Nagoya Cochin Chicken is flown directly from the farm to Hong Kong. It takes 3 times the feed and 2.5 times longer to raise Cochin Chicken compared to normal chicken. The meat of Cochin Chicken is firm, chewy and extra flavorful.

1. Stir-fried Offal Bento

Made with specially selected fresh beef offal from Hokkaido, as well as chillies, garlic and Sichuan peppercorns. Japanese Frozen Pork Organs - Soy Sauce and Japanese Frozen Beef Small Intestine and Organs - Garlic Miso Sauce are also available.
Ito Farm Matsusaka Beef Rice Topping
This sukiyaki-style topping made with carefully selected premium Matsusaka beef is perfect with rice. Sprinkle the topping over warm white rice and add an egg to enjoy an easy, tasty dish. This topping can also be used for making fried rice or as a seasoning for okonomiyaki. 2. Pan-fried Pork Chop Bento
Key Ingredient: Imahan Japanese Frozen Yamato Pork Loin Steak - Soy Sauce
With over 127 years of history in Tokyo, popular restaurant Ningyocho Imahan uses the tender, finely textured Yamato pork as a main ingredient. After defrosting, the marinated pork chop can be pan-fried on both sides over a medium heat. Shogayaki and Miso flavours are also available.
3. Keichan Stir-fried Chicken Bento
Key Ingredient: Tonodelica Keichan Seasoned Ena Chicken - Soy Sauce and Garlic
Keichan is a local, everyday chicken dish from Gifu Prefecture. Made with Ena chicken grown in the rich natural environment of Ena City and a secret seasoning. Simply serve with lettuce and reheat in the microwave.

Task Foods Yamagata Wagyu Black Beef Curry
