Suggestions of consuming Poon Choi and reheat method:

  • Upon receiving the claypot dish, please remove the plastic wrap promptly to prevent spoilage. It is recommended to consume within two hours.
  • If not consumed immediately, gently reheat the dish over the lowest heat for 5–10 minutes every two hours to maintain its temperature.
  • Before serving, add the accompanying abalone sauce to the claypot dish and heat thoroughly. (The amount of sauce can be adjusted according to personal preference.) Ensure the dish is fully reheated using an open flame, gas stove, induction cooker, or ceramic hob.
  • When eating, start from the top layer. The ingredients at the bottom will have absorbed the rich flavors of the meat juices.
  • As the dish nears the end, you may remove any remaining meat ingredients, add boiling water to the remaining broth to create a hotpot base, and use it to blanch vegetables, instant noodles, or udon. It will enhance the taste wonderfully!
