Founded in 1890 in Yui, Shizuoka, this fried fish cake is produced by a long-established kamaboko maker renowned for its craftsmanship. Made using carefully selected, high-quality fish and traditionally ground with a stone mill, it delivers a firm elasticity, satisfying bite, and the clean, natural flavour of fish that defines premium kamaboko.

 

Blended with fragrant sakura prawns, the mixture is gently fried to enhance both aroma and umami. The result is a richly textured fish cake with a subtle sweetness from the prawns and a well-balanced savoury depth. It can be enjoyed as it is, lightly reheated, or added to oden and simmered dishes for added character.
