- Feature: Okado somen has been produced in Okado area for more than 170 years, mainly from October to March, where somen production is carried out in the freezing cold. One of the features of this soumen is that the name of the producer has been printed on the wrapping paper, so that the sincerity of the producer is also delivered.
- Cooking tip: Prepare the noodles for boiling by folding and splitting them in half in the paper inside the packaging. Bring 4 litres of water to the boil, place the noodles in it and boil for 3 minutes. When the water blows over, add a glass of cold water and boil again. When finished boiling, lift the noodles into a colander and give them a thorough rubdown with cold water. Finally, drain and serve in a bowl.
