Product Feature
- The Birthplace of Hokkaido's Oldest Wagyu
- Grown in the unique climate and clean water
- Homegrown Delicacy from Shiraoi Town
- Authentic Shiraoi Beef: Shiraoi beef is bred and raised entirely in Shiraoi Town, making it truly local cattle. Unlike other branded beef, they grow up here from birth, enjoying the rich natural resources of the area. The cattle do not require long-distance transportation and do not have to adapt to new environments and climates, resulting in less stress and healthier, happier growth.
- Long History: As early as the 1950s, farmers in Shiraoi Town recognized that the environment was suitable for cattle farming and introduced black-haired Wagyu from Shimane Prefecture, making it one of the earliest regions in Hokkaido to introduce Wagyu. With a commitment to self-breeding and self-raising, they have accumulated over seventy years of experience, combined with carefully designed feed and facilities.
- Unique Climate: Shiraoi Town is located in the cold region of Hokkaido, with a unique geographical position and a maritime climate. In winter, influenced by the warm currents of the Pacific Ocean, the average minimum temperature in January is -8.6°C, about 5°C higher than the inland areas of Hokkaido. Summers are cool and pleasant, with an average maximum temperature of 23.3°C in August and a day-night temperature difference of about 6°C, which is smaller than that of inland areas. This cool and stable climate is one of the key factors in nurturing high-quality Shiraoi beef.
- High-Quality Pasture Environment: The Shiraoi River and Lake Chubetsu in the area are recognized as some of the best water quality regions in Japan. The rich natural environment, along with the blessings of natural water from the northern land, allows Shiraoi cattle to graze outdoors, feeding on natural low-calorie grasses, resulting in a firmer texture.
