Spain, 1955. In Villalpardo, a small farming village in the province of Cuenca, a sharp-eyed girl decided one day that “there has to be another way to make caramelised almonds”, “with less sugar”, so that they would be “less hard, finer”. Puri – the girl’s name – closed herself in the kitchen with the almonds that her father had collected from the field. “Leave me alone” she said to everyone, especially to her mother who looked at her surprised. A unique recipe was about to be born…

All Over The World
Half a century later, Puri’s intuition became a gourmet product sold in Spain, Italy, France, Denmark and Germany. The recipe hasn’t changed, it’s the same one invented by an eleven-year-old girl in her mother’s kitchen. The ingredients have not changed. The protagonist are still the almonds that our family has been growing for a century in la “Manchuela conquense”, a unique territory for the growth of “largueta” trees, the variety of almond whose flavor recalls the taste of milk, ideal for the union with the very thin layer of caramel that covers the “Morenitas”, the caramelised almonds that Puri invented. (That’s the reason for what we call them “Morenitas”, brownies in English, to differentiate them from the most sugary and typical caramelised ones).

We found this awesome product in Spain and deicde to collaborate with them, and now, their almond and hazelnuts reaches Hong Kong.
