Kakuni is basically diced cubes of pork belly, and is an infamous dish in Okinawa. For anyone who wants to cook it at home, this kakuni sauces helps you cut off time from preparations by directly pouring the sauce onto stir-fired pork belly cubes.; shake before opening

A flavourful sauce for braised pork, made with premium soy sauce, umami-rich bonito and Hidaka kelp dashi from Hokkaido, and enhanced with the aroma of junmai sake and black mirin.

Ingredients
Serves 3–4
Pork belly block ... 300–600g
This product ... 1 packet
Water ... 300mL (1½ cups)

Instructions
1. Prick the surface of the pork with a fork. Cut into 2–3cm thick slices.
2. Place the pork in a pot, add enough water to cover, and bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce to low heat and simmer for about 30 minutes. Drain and rinse the pork to remove scum. Discard the boiling liquid.
3. In a clean pot, combine the pork, this product, and 300mL of water. Bring to a boil again, then reduce to low heat. Place a drop lid and simmer for about 30 minutes, turning occasionally to coat evenly.
4. Remove the lid and simmer to your desired thickness.
※Cooking time may vary depending on the size of the meat and pot. Please ensure the pork is thoroughly cooked.Ready to serve.
