Origin: Miyagi pref.
Noodle type: U-men (Japanese warm noodle)
Boiling time: About 3 min.
Kohaku U-men is a beautifully amber-coloured noodle, slowly matured through a unique manufacturing method that enhances both flavour and colour. It has a firm, satisfying texture, a deep and rounded wheat aroma, and a naturally glossy surface that makes each bite smooth and pleasant.
These noodles pair well with both warm and cold dishes. They are particularly excellent when used like pasta—their firm texture complements oil-based sauces and tomato sauces wonderfully. They also work beautifully in cold salads, soups, and even Asian-style spicy dishes.
Versatile and elegant, Kohaku Unmen brings a refined touch to your table all year round.
Cooking tip:
One bundle is roughly one serving. Bring plenty of water to a full boil, add the noodles while loosening them, and stir gently. When boiling resumes, reduce the heat to prevent overflow and cook for about 3 minutes.
Drain immediately and rinse well with cold water.
Store in cool dry place
