This popular “Maeda’s Seasoned Egg” is made using locally sourced eggs from the prefecture, carefully soft-boiled to perfection so that only the yolk remains slightly runny while the white retains the firmness of a regular boiled egg.
Using a uniquely developed cooking machine, the eggs are quickly boiled in a controlled process that achieves the ideal balance of softness and texture.
They are then marinated in a special additive-free broth made from bonito, kelp, soy sauce, and mirin — a rich, savoury blend that gently soaks into the egg to create a deep, umami-packed flavour.
Each pack includes a generous amount of this delicious seasoning broth, which can also be used as-is for simmered dishes or oden.
