Niboshi (Dried Anchovies) – Domestic Japanese Sardines
Made with domestically sourced anchovies, this product yields a rich and full-bodied stock. Comes in a convenient resealable bag for easy storage.
How to Make Dashi
1. Add 40 g niboshi to 1 L water and soak for 30 minutes to overnight. Bring to a boil uncovered over medium heat. Once boiling, reduce to low heat and simmer for 6–8 minutes.
2. Skim off any scum that appears.
3. Turn off the heat and remove the niboshi.
Keep refrigerated after opening
