A Green Workplace: Food Waste Disposal Machine

Currently, the majority of food waste in Hong Kong is disposed of in landfills, which is not sustainable. In order to reduce the amount of food waste, we have installed food waste disposal machines in City Super Group offices, encouraging our colleagues to develop the eco-friendly habit of waste separation at source.

Recycling of Waste Cooking Oils

Did you know that when properly processed, used cooking oil can be recycled and transformed into green energy? Biofuels produced from waste cooking oils generate fewer greenhouse gas emissions compared to fossil fuels, which helps to reduce pollution and mitigate the greenhouse effect.

We have partnered with Eco Oil to collect used cooking oils generated during our sales and production processes from central kitchen, in the hope of maximising their use in the development of biofuels and promoting environmental sustainability.
