- The largest monopole in Bourgogne, Clos Marey-Monge benefits from a unique environment. At the base of the hill of Pommard, the complexity of the soils comes from the alluvia, sand and gravel carried by the Avant-Dheune River a thousand years ago. The blend of the seven cuvées from the limestone and clay-rich soils creates a deep, elegant, and sophisticated Pinot Noir.
- The 2012 has a vivid violine hue with ruby hints and is powered by deep waves of aromas – game, undergrowth and dry flowers, in partcular. Tight and smooth in the mouth, well balanced with incredible depth. A beautiful long finish that is equal parts spicy, mouth-watering and mineral.
- Hand-harvested and hand-sorted grapes.100% whole-cluster destemmed. Weeks-long maceration. Aged in French oak barrels for 20 months (30% new). Aging on fine lees.
